The RSP/The University of Northampton Post 16 Learning to Learn Project

In partnership with The University of Northampton’s Office of Educational Partnerships and with the support of Aimhigher, The Northamptonshire Raising Standards Partnership Trust (RSP) is co-ordinating a Learning to Learn initiative involving teachers from local secondary schools and colleges and from the University of Northampton.

Several subject based project groups have formed to exchange practice and ideas with the aim of working collaboratively to create and trial practical and innovative approaches to Post 16 teaching and learning. Sometimes this involves the subject groups in running special Study Days for sixth form students at the university.

All of the groups’ projects try to take account of how recent learning theories, such as personalised learning, can inform practice. In seeking to find effective, alternative approaches to “one size fits all” traditional didactic teaching, the Learning to Learn project can provide participating teachers with professional development opportunities.

On these pages you will find details of the groups’ membership and activities. You can also take a look at some of the learning materials that have been produced or are currently under development.

If you would personally like to participate in a group or have your school involved in its activity, there are contact details on the Project Groups pages.
